I haven't been to Al Mashriq before and fancied something a bit different. I ordered Chilli Paneer, Chicken Korma and Garlic Naan bread. I also ordered a sweet but it wasn't available.

Al Mashriq and hungryhouse.co.uk were very prompt at letting me know the dessert wasn't available and I was offered an alternative which I really appreciated.

The food was good, but the Korma was a little salty and not very creamy (as advertised). I suspect it was actually the wrong dish but it was pretty tasty so I ate it anyway!

I would recommend Al Mashriq and would eat there again.

The meat was completely inedible, the sauce tasted rancid and the garlic and peshwari naans arrived completely plain. Pretty much the most terrible Indian I've ever had.

Most of the food was nice, but there were small portions, the food took a while to arrive and was not piping hot when it did arrive.

Pretty decent value, quite a generous amount of food for two people. Unfortunately, let down by the quality - generic curry sauce on everything with not much spice or flavour, which is unusual in Leicester. Will be trying another place next time.
