This selection from your menu was as good as our previous meal so no complaints there. Chethinadu spice curry was great. The order arrived hot but 40 minutes after the time slot you gave me. A long time to wait without hearing anything from you.

Finally tried the Banana Leaf last night, and it definitely lives up to its legendary status! After hearing about this place for the past four years (and living 5min walk away from it for the past three) I eventually got round to going! The flavours were amazing, being much more interesting than you usually get in an Indian takeaway, you could tell that these dishes had been made from scratch! I had heard that the meat was cooked on the bone and so was prepared for this, but definitely keep this in consideration if that affects your enjoyment of food! I got the Non-Vegetarian Set Meal and could not believe the value that I got for £7.50! I got about 7 different pots of food along with lots of rice and a can of drink, very impressed! Overall, really enjoyed my meal and will be going again, just wish I had got round to going sooner! :)

First time we've ordered from Banana Leaf. The food came when you said it would and was hot enough to eat straightaway though we'd ordered so much that the main course went into the oven anyway. The scent of the spices on the various sauces took me back to being in South India! First time I've eaten a masala dosa since then. We'll be back!

The food was an hour late, and arrived cold. Although the owner was apologetic on the phone, their poor delivery system means that I will not be ordering from them again. The food itself was decent- the Gobi 65 was quite good as was the chicken biryani. The mango lassi was a bit too sweet for my liking, while the Gobi Manchurian seemed to be from an old stock.

We had the joy of visiting Banana Leaf to sit in a few weeks ago, and it was of great pleasure that we enjoyed their cuisine in the comfort of our own home last night.
The range of truly authentic food available to order at hungryhouse was excellent, and it was nice to benefit from the same truly barginous prices. The order was with us within 20 minutes, so we didn't have to wait long to tuck into our feast. My Husband had Lamb Chettinadu - the same dish I had when we visited the restaurant, and it was every bit as flavoursome and delicious. I tried the Paneer Butter Masala - what a treat. Warming with a hint of fruitiness, and roti on the side; our plates were clean far too quickly! Visit Banana Leaf if you want to venture away from what appears to be very run of the mill Indian food, and treat yourself to a really different and exciting plateful! Needless to say, we will continue to give Banana Leaf our custom, and wouldn't hesitate to order through hungryhouse.co.uk again. Amy, G14

Great food, simple and tasty. I was disappointed that I had ordered a dish that was described as chicken cubes cooked in gravy and I got chicken on the bone, but what I had was nice nonetheless.

The food quality was exceptional but the basmati rice which was supposed to come with the vegetarian dish was not in the carryout.

Have ordered many times from the Banana Leaf and although I love the quality of their authentic Indian food the service is generally poor. The last three times I have had to wait over two hours for the delivery to arrive. Poor service whenever I've called to find out when the food will eventually arrive. Unfortunately I won't be ordering from there any longer.

My order arrived 40 minutes later than the last time it should have been delivered, cold, as it had been one of 15 orders sent out on the same delivery vehicle, and when I called at 9.30 to ask where my order was (having originally ordered online at 7.40 and getting it delivered at 10.30 pm) I was told they had an unexpected volume of orders and they were really sorry. The chicken was dubious in origin and full of bones, and I was ready to cry!

We had heard of your growing reputation for good food and looked forward to an interesting meal. it was a disaster. We had food delivered on sat april3. and paid £40 for it. we payed for a paratha which we didn't get. The meat dishes were extremely poor in both taste, quality and portion, the chicken consisted almost entirely of bone and gristle. It is no exaggeration to say that NOTHING, apart from the polite delivery man, was satisfactory. The final straw was that the food arrived cold and we had to heat it. We feel cheated to be honest with you.
