The 'chicken satay' was so bad we would not eat any of the food we had ordered. The satay (lipid liquid) sauce had been far too generously poured over what in the menu was said to be chicken but rather looked and tasted like oil-soaked cardboard flakes. The egg fried rice was either old or under cooked and also soaked in oil so that was inedible too.
We were so disappointed by this experience we would not go back to Bento even if we were paid to.. very very disappointed! Kristin, SW8

The food is good value (£9.50) for Japanese south of the river that does delivery.
I can tell it isn't made by Japan trained chefs but in the area it's passable. Teriyaki Salmon Bento came with Starter: two average size prawns wrapped like spring rolls on a bed of cabbage. Main: The main salmon was ok quality. Side salad came with Aojiso dressing which was good. Rice: Big portion of Medium grain rice. The better places use short grain. For credit it wasn't mushy. But not sticky enough. Miso Soup: Tofu and wakame(seaweed). Watery lacking flavour. Condiments: It also came with fukujin zuke (pickles) and wasabi (why?) and lemon T, SW9

Prawn gyoza's were really good nice filling and thin pastry, sashimi also good fresh but chopped a bit too big so quite a mouthful!
Also had eel and rice which was also nice altho food not very hot. Would use again Natalie, SW9

Had really good take-away from Bento before but this time was barely warm and fairly tasteless. Expect more for the price, as there are much cheaper take-outs in the area. Might not purchase again. Shame.

They delivered after the delivery window closed and while the food was tasty, the steak was still tough.

they need to look at the notes to restaurant as each time i have requested for some things to be left out it is ignored, other than that its good.

I wasn't amazed by my take away and have definitely had better for the price. It was very disappointing to find that my dessert(banoffee pie) was still frozen when it arrived.

Really tasty meal delivered in good time. Portions are a little sparse though - a lot more sauce than substance, especially in the green thai curry. But overall good.
