If you’re a bit of an Indian food connoisseur, Dosa World, Tower Hamlets is the place to go.  Their speciality is South Indian cuisine and, as the name implies, you can be sure to get your weekly dose of top notch Dosa here. In fact, this week’s Review of the Week winner, Nina, claims it’s the best Masala Dosa she’s ever had:

“Amazing! Truly authentic, delicious South Indian food. Arrived within an hour after ordering at 7.45pm on a Friday, steaming hot and from a polite delivery person. The masala dosa is the best I’ve had, served with delicious sambar and two other accompaniments. The main dishes (kozhi masala, brinjal and saag paneer) were tasty and well-cooked”

Despite finding some of the veggie dishes a bit too rich for her taste, she was more than happy with the freshness of the food, the plentiful portions and the pilau and paratha cooked to perfection:

“However, there was a lot of oil and the richness of the veggie sauces was a bit too much. The ingredients looked and tasted good quality – it’s not often you see actual spinach leaves instead of mushed up tinned spinach. The pilau rice and paratha were just as they should be. I would recommend two parathas between three people and one rice between two. I would say everything was great value for money, due to the high quality and decent portion sizes, although the veggie dishes were a little overpriced. New favourite take away – can’t wait for our next meal from Dosa World! Definitely will be reordering the dosa but will probably try some different veggie dishes and maybe a less spicy chicken dish. Highly recommend to South Indian cuisine lovers as well as general curry fans looking for a change”.

So there you have it – delicious, affordable, South Indian food for those looking for more than your average curry!
