Four Faces, Paddington: Review of the Week
There comes a time in everyone’s life when they are faced with a decision to go with their natural instincts, or to take a risk and try something a little different. Although it can feel risky, going against your instincts can quite often give us our greatest achievements and discoveries, and sometimes it can leave us kicking ourselves for not following our hearts.
Fortunately, our Review of the Week winner David chose to try something different from Four Faces in Paddington. The result was a resounding success – it lead him to find love!
“Against my natural instincts, and on the recommendation of a friend, I went for an all veggie option – starter and main.
The drunken tofu starter was bursting with flavour, and the meaty texture of the tofu meant my usual lusting for flesh was satisfied. The veggie Mussaman curry was a revelation. The soya was as ‘meaty’ as meat, so again, I didn’t feel I was missing anything by going herbivore. There were a lot of flavours going on here, but they all complemented each other well, and were easily distinguishable from each other.
It probably won’t convince me to go veggie full time, but I’ll certainly choose dishes from the veggie menu again. Love man!”
