Sumo, West Ealing: Review of the Week
This week’s Review of the Week winner, Paul, has made Sumo, West Ealing his new, official, go-to Japanese/Sushi restaurant – and this is something that it sounds very worthy of.

“The standard of food was excellent in general, and the chilli squid starter in particular, was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The assorted sushi set was well thought out and provided a nice selection to test. The quality of the salmon, tuna, sea bass and prawn was particularly good.
The weakest dish in my order was the Thai Red Curry, which was little light on prawns etc and looked a bit more like a soup as a result. Having said that it was still a very well seasoned and tasty dish packed with flavour. Sushi needs to be right – there is no room for error with fish, and I was very wary of ordering this type of cuisine as a takeaway. I will definitely be ordering again with complete confidence.
Clearly, the chef(s) at Sumu set a a very high standard for themselves and take pride in what they do. For Japanese / Sushi, Sumo will quickly become my go-to restaurant if the level of quality is maintained on subsequent orders.”
