Too Many Cooks?

Jamie Oliver: celebrity chef extraordinaire

Switch on the TV these days and it’s more than likely that you’ll be confronted with a vast number of cooking shows vying for your attention.  From the nail-biting suspense of Masterchef to the food porn that is Nigella’s kitchen to the downright silliness of Come Dine with Me, our appetite for food on telly is extremely well catered for.  There seems to be no end in sight either with new cooking shows being added to the schedules every week and celebrity chefs seemingly always having their latest show/ book / DVD /  to plug.  But have we reached cooking show saturation point?  Can we take another celebrity chef or dodgy product endorsement?
