We have used Blue Ginger for 18 months now, the meals are always excellent quality and arrive quickly, always in advance of the estimated delivery time.

Tonight has to be the worse night I have had a takeaway from here. Whilst other times the food has not been to my taste this time it was horrendous to say the least. They did on one positive note get the madras correct after requesting it to be hot rather than medium. The King Prawn Ceylon was congealed and the King Prawns rubbery in fact I am sure I heard my bin protest when I emptied it into it. The King Prawn Sag was just about edible there was far too much salt in it which totally spoilt the dish and made it just edible. Note to the chef, salt should be used as a seasoning not to overpower a dish!!!!! It does start to worry you when so much salt is used in food, usually a way to disguise food going off!!!! I think it will be a long time before I order from here again. As always you have to try yourself to make judgement, as everyone's taste buds are different.
So the verdict: Arrived hot and quickly, the food a total waste of money and they should be ashamed for having no pride in what they are serving to paying customers or sack the chef and get one in that can actually cook! The views on myself and my family. Simon, UB10

Food tasted good, bit pricey though. Also they could label the dishes more clearly instead of scribbling. Also label all dishes (including the the breads ordered)

I was extremley disappointed with the Jalfreizee I couldn't taste any ginger or see any green chillis. The amount of onions made me wonder if I had actually ordered a Jalfreizee and not a Dupiaza!!! It reminded me of a Chinese curry when it came to the chunks of onions, something they may wish to look at. Other then that the Vindaloo was really enjoyed by my husband far too hot for my taste buds. This is the second order this week, the first was outstanding. Will definatley be a fav but I will avoid the Jalfreizee at all costs unless they sort the onion problem out!

As always the food from blue ginger was brilliant - from the best popdums ever to the tenderest most tasty chicken curries ever.
