I have never used hungryhouse or Carib Grill before but it was an excellent experience. Order arrived in 40 mins, which is more than acceptable given the distance, well packaged, hot, very tasty, large portions. Can't ask for more than that!

food delivered an hour after ETA. Tasty and enjoyable, but have had better, pretty expensive for what you get.

The food is lovely, great portions and great taste.
my only issue is price and delivery. Several times we have ordered and been waiting hours, worth it but not if your hungry. The price of Carib is very high, I wouldn't say worth the money but if you have no other option then fine. As much as Carib Grill had brilliant food, if you want to spend less take yourself to mojams opposite and get a takeaway from there. I would recommend Carib if you have enough money and aren't bothered about the cost but definatly eating in there is worth while. Sherelle, B14

Just what we need in the area - I love Caribbean food and you don't see it around too often, a change from the ubiquitous chinese/indian/pizza places. The spicing is conservative without being bland, so don't be nervous about giving it a go. The night we had our takeaway, the food took longer than expected to arrive, but when I complained, the owner promptly apologised (it had been an unexpectedly busy night) and offered us a free meal to compensate. My friend and I went to the restaurant itself - the atmosphere was lovely, staff were friendly the food was really tasty and you could see the kitchen, which was well organised and spotless - how many takeaways let you see the kitchen?
Well worth a try as the food is amazing- as the staff are so friendly it's worth picking up the phone to check for an eta on your food on a weekend night.I want to eat there again and so does my friend:) Sarah, B14

Ordered at 4pm ready for 6pm opening, but after making a telephone enquiry at 7pm, it arrived at 7.15pm.
The bajan fishcakes were like greasy sponges, but this was really the only low point when it came to the food. Chicken wings & lollipops were sweet/aromatic/spicy and delicious, crab claws retained their crunchy coating, Island Delight style veg patty was pretty standard, but a nice addition. The curry goat was tender and beautifully spiced, the rice was a good portion, and was also very flavourful. The half jerk chicken & carib slaw had layers & layers of flavour - delicious. Nicely spiced, tasty but not chilli hot. Beautifully flavoured, but not as hot as Jamaican home cooking, but I guess when you're catering for the general public, it's probably best to err on the side of caution. Yes, at just over £30 it was an expensive takeaway for two (with a little bit spare for later!) but it was good. Although we were slightly jaded by the delivery delay, and did slightly baulk at the cost in comparison to similar quality take aways Indian/Chinese we did enjoy the actual food. For us though, a take away bridges the gap between the cost of going out for dinner, and the hassle of home cooking so twas nice for a change, and we whilst we definitely recommend the food, the time it took to deliver was a disappointment, and the cost was probably overpriced by around 20%.
