Food was absolutely lovely, although waiting for almost an hour for it was less good. Portions were a little smaller than I'd hoped, but I cant fault the quality of the food!

This has to be by far the worst food I have ever had. I would be embarrassed to serve this to anyone. Must do better.

It took two and a half hours for the food to arrive. I had to phone to ask where it was, was told it would it be 10 mins. I rang back 40 mins later. It then arrived 5 mins later.
The chicken curry tasted odd, I will not use them again. Alex, SE7

The chicken curry was swimming in oil, even the container that it arrived in was greasy. The curry was tasteless - in fact, you would never have guessed it was curry, as it didn't taste of anything. So bland!!!!!
The plantin was very over cooked and was more like rubber. The rice and peas were not freshly cooked. I would not return to this shop. Jenny, SE10

Excellent service. Arrived on time and the food was hot. Not sure why other people had problems with them, but I'll be ordering from them again.
The best I've ordered from hungry house so far. Chris. Chris, SE8

We didn't receive two of the things we ordered and paid for! Food was cold on arrival also and took over two hours to arrive! Very disappointed as had heard good things about the place before.

This was quite possibly the worst take-away/delivery experience I've ever had.
For a start, it took more than 2 1/2 hours to arrive (I kid you not). When it finally was on the way, it was care of a disgruntled-sounding taxi driver who could not easily find my flat. When he did find my flat, I suspect he may have felt further (and understandably) disgruntled by the fact that I live on the third floor (with no lift). As I handed him the money to pay for the food, it all seemed a bit of a mystery to him as he was not heading back to the restaurant. As it turned out, they did give him an envelope to leave at the cab office, so we put 2 and 2 together, put the cash in the envelope, and hoped for the best. And then there was the food, which was cold. And not particularly tasty. The thing is that if there had been a genuine mistake which led to the food arriving so late, I might have been okay with that (people do make mistakes in life), but the rest of the experience (the method of delivery and the quality of the actual food itself) put paid to that. I had salt-fish fritters (which might have been nice if they were not cold) Dumplings (dull, and cold) Mango chicken (bland, a fairly small portion for the price, and cold) Pilau Rice (which bore an amazing resemblance to plain boiled rice, and was cold) Fried Plantain (actually quite nice, though cold) I would be lost for words, except that I'm clearly not. Really, really, really.... not good. Andrew, SE13

Food had spilt over and bag was covered in curry oil and jerk sauce. Portions, apart from the rice, were very small. Forgot to include the coleslaw, which only costing a quid, was part of the overall expectation to complement and complete the meal. Including the 5 pound tip this cost over 20 pound the actual value of the meal was well under a tenner. Perhaps just toothing problems with delivery or a lack of customer care who knows, but who needs the stress when you want to spoil yourself on a Friday night after a week-long slogging. When called restaurant they were apologetic and kind and offered to refund the pound. The gesture like the portions were not enough to make us redeliver. I was so excited when I saw a caribbean delivery service in our area, as we love our caribbean food and would have made faithful customers. A real shame and most disappointing. I wouldn't recommend delivery service perhaps the restaurant experience is better, but that kind of defeats the object of home delivery.
