Not a bad chinese meal, by any stretch of the imagination; it all tasted freshly cooked and crisp. It just wasn't all to my tastes per se. The pancake rolls for instance, are quite small and slim compared to other takeaways in Cambridge that aren't listed on HH (all the same price). Most things on the menu seemed about 20-30p more than other places I've visited. It may not seem like much, but it adds up. Overall though, I don't think you'll be disappointed with you meal from here. It's a shame that HH doesn't have more Cambridge-based Chinese restaurants listed though.

The response was very quick. The spring rolls were quite small and the Pad Thai, not at all what we expected nor cared for (we tossed it). The site could use some greater details as to what is in the recipe and how it is made. We will probably not order from China Chef again.

The Pad Thai noodle were disgusting, their exture and flavour a real disappointment. Delivery charge and surcharge for paying by debit card made this an expensive 2 course meal given that one of the dishes was inedible.

The food arrived over an hour and a half after ordering. When I rang they simply said it was 'on the way' and did not give a time estimation. The egg fried rice was very poor, hardly any egg and just tiny lumps of it. The chicken meals were decent but the vegetarian dishes, with the exception of the veg chow mein were not. I will not use them again

We ordered the food on a Friday night and it took over an hour to arrive. When it came, however, it was good.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food at China Chef. Everything I ordered was great. I had been recently disappointed by delivered Chinease food from other places in the past and didn't expect much from this takeaway restraunt. The delivery was prompt, the delivery man was very curtious, and again, the food was fantastic. The price is very reasonable and China Chef has become my go-to restraunt for Chinease takeaway. I will be a repeat customer.
