We've used this restaurant before and were happy until last night. Food was cold when it arrived 40 minutes later than we'd been told. We had to chase them twice for update.

Large servings, great value, took an hour to arrive but was worth the wait.

I took orders from those in my apartment, my mate declined and when the food arrived he confessed that it was his was worst decision of 2013, and likely still is.

 

Order chicken curry, curry sauce was too watery for my liking and wasnt very spicy.

Food was late but this was explained through an email which is to be expected on a Saturday night. Salt and chilli ribs were the best iv had in Edinburgh and weren't greasy like a lot of other places. Overall a great restaurant which is great value for money. Highly recommended.

I waited for over an hour for the meal, when it arrived it was cold. I complained and they said I would get the next order for half price, but this is not good enough. This would mean that they would get repeat custom which I am reluctant to give. Can I get a refund?

Pretty standard fare, think I'm going off chinese takeaway.

I've ordered from the China Star many times now and they're really very good.
Their delivery is consistently quick and the only time the delivery was late, I was warned well in advance and given a new time at which it did promptly arrive at.
The delivery man I've seen a few times is always cheerful and friendly and having had poor experiences in the past with delivery men, I feel this is important. It's really nice to receive food from someone who seems genuinely happy!
Their food is lovely and they have a good range of meals that have all been well prepared and tasty. This is definitely my favourite Chinese restaurant on the hungryhouse website.

It's not often you find a chinese were everything is good. For me, everything is good in china star. Sure, some chineses have a better version of a few of the dishes, but overall, china star is a winner.

Delivery was quick but food was very dry, no sauce on the chicken just sticky mess at the bottom. Not very good quality for money

Delivery was as promised in the reply email and was delivered on time. However, the food itself generally had a burnt flavor which was rather unpleasant. All in all, the food was mediocre.

Prompt & accurate service. The Sweet & Sour 'popcorn' (my term) Chicken was especially tasty !

Hot and sour soup was very good, and the delivery driver was especially friendly
