I should have learnt my lesson by now. The food is great the service is awful. They habe got my order wrong everytime. Weather you order through the website or over the phone. They even messed up when i called in to the shop but at least then you can put it right instead of waiting 30 mins to bring the missing items whilst the rest of your food gets cold.

Food arrived over half hour later than latest time stated it would arrive, was only luke warm, I also ordered hot and sour soup put a note on asking for this to be vegetarian when it came it had meat in it, when I rang them to tell them this it was very clear they had not read this note/request and it took me a long time to explain why I did not want meat in it I was then told they could not replace it that night because it was mothers day and I explained that was why I was having the takeaway as a treat with my children so they finally agreed to send me replacement soup! Ten minutes later somebody else from chinese express rang me to ask if I would like chicken or another meat in my soup!!! I'm vegetarian I explained AGAIN, finally recieved my soup but unfortuntely very disapointed was clearly not hot and sour or tasty like from other local chineses, also my son did not recieve the peas with his sausage meal, very very disapointed as we have ordered from here once before a long time ago and was disapointed with it been late then and really thought they would of improved but clearly not so definitely would not reccomend them now!!

Response from hungryhouse:
Hi Steven, I have just been in touch with the manager of Chinese Express, who has confirmed that there is meat in the peking hot and sour soup. The online menu has now been updated to reflect this, so that it will be clearer for future customers. Thanks so much for your feedback - you've helped us improve the website for everyone. Ordered special fried rice, beef kung po, ribs in sauce, chips, and free prawn crackers. All food was delicious, friendly delivery guy and arrived in allocated time slot. :o)

the shrimp seemed at home in the curry as it was like flavoured water and the squid szechuan overcooked it was more like rubber szechuan, very poor indeed. not to mention the deliver driver asked me to pay £16.50 at the door despite paying it on my card and top it off it all turned up ice cold. although on the plus side the free prawn crackers where delicious, although for £16 thats not so much of a good side.
