Consistently good food... has all the classics as well as tasty spicy regional dishes. Always hot and crispy, the meat is always meaty and not too fatty, and seasoning always good... especially the use of fine pepper powder. yum.

The quality of food was not very good. The ribs were over cooked with very little meat on then. The dumplings were extremely soggy and the chicken inside the chicken balls was very very dry! It came very quick which implied the food was perhaps already cooked and just reheated to send out. Very disappointing.

We ordered Duck with pancakes, sweet and sour chicken & egg fried rice... Tell you the truth, it was really nice, very tasty we all enjoyed it. I will be placing the same order next week, plus we might go adventurous and order some spring rolls. Our compliments to the chef and staff.

My food came after about 1 hour and the chicken dish had a thick black hair in it. Disgusting!

The food. That I had from you was very poor. No flavour at all. A total waste of cash and will not be having food from you again. Also I do not like to see human hair in my food.

We're getting the shits. It ain't pretty, especially hers, and you know that's bad because she's Asian! Literally worst Chinese I've ever had. Came quickly though...

worst hot and sour soup I ever had (if you could call it that). It was grey coloured gloop with peas and carrots and lots and lots of pepper - absolutely disgusting.
Sweet and sour chicken was tough and chewy. prawn toast was poor, looked like it might have been nice a couple of days ago but just went hard and flat waiting around. Satay chicken and ribs were ok. On a more positive note the food arrived in good time. David, W3

The food was bland and gloopy. I was really disappointed having read other people's review for this take-away. Despite clearly specifying that I did NOT want Pork in my Singapore noodles, Chuan still added pork to the dish. They did however, deliver within 20mins.

The crispy duck was excellent but the other things I ordered were too salty (esp. crispy seaweed) and greasy. I was annoyed that I had to pay a 50p surcharge when using a card and it was a debit card!

I've tried every Chinese takeaway available to me in Shep. Bush, but Chuan tops them all.

Food is very good if you choose the right dishes. I have order on a number of occasion and am still going through what's good and what's not. On this occasion I had prawn on toast which was pretty average, however 'squid in salt and chilli' was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. My favourite is 'pork tripe and tongue with spicy oil sauce' which if you are not screamish is what I regard as authentic chinese and really tasty with plain rice.
