Being new to the Sidcup area, and having high demands for excellent curry, I based my choice on the excellent reviews here. They were correct. I really enjoyed what was provided, the lamb jalfrezi was tender, tasty and spicy exactly as I like it. The freebies were much appreciated. I will be ordering again and probably will be a regular before long if the good standard continues!

value for money banquet nights that they hold.

The guys are always friendly and since we are regulars we get loads of freebies!!

I ordered from the the Dawat, it was roughly three weeks ago; i sould have left the review sooner??
sorry to all the fellow restaurantiers( that is so spelt so wrong ) needless to say that if you read my last review it was honest and how it should be.
The dawat was by far the best restaurant i have used in the local area, for a takeaway to be delivered hot and non greasy and with a free bottle of house wine is something that is a real treat, i only spent £26 pound so the wine was a real bonus, the red onion dip is sooo good and free, to be fai,r i think you will be hard pushed to find food better than this in the local area, if you wondering why my review should be a good one or a bad one? i will tell you my mother is Indian and father British, dad dont like real Indian curry, and Mum only cooks real curry, thats waht the Dawat served honest Indian food, and fake and not Indian food.
Dawat served food that mumand dad both eat, so happy days, give it a go you will not disappointed.

The food arrived in a reasonable length of time - was hot - first time I have used Hungry House - quite good!

The only problem I had with Dawat is that I am a vegetarian and ordered a vegetable curry but a chicken curry arrived. Unfortunately I did not realise this mistake until I bit into a piece of chicken, thinking it was potato. If they had written on the lids of the tubs maybe they would not have mixed up the meals in the first place, or I would have seen it said chicken and not have started eating it. They did rectify the problem when I rang to let them know though, and sent a vegetable curry out straight away which tasted lovely. One of the peshwari naan's was a little bit overdone so I swapped with my mum because she wouldn't eat it. They sent a complimentary Cobra and poppadoms which was very kind of them and the driver was polite, as was the person on the phone when I rang about the curries being mixed up. I would order from them again because the food was great and the staff were kind. There was a bit of a long wait time with it being Saturday night prime time but they made us aware of that and arrived the food at the time expected. I'm happy with the prices and the portion sizes aren't stingy so I ended up happy that night.

Tikki tasted slightly off.... Never had any problem before and even went there at weekend absolutely lovely!!!!

Although they delivered to the wrong address to start with, when the food arrived it was tasty and up to the usual standard.
Disagree on having to pay surcharge on debit card.

Fantastic food,good sized portion delivered hot in 30 minutes what more can you ask for.

Food excellent, as per usual! Only issue was the slight delay in delivering.

Food was ok, took a random stab at dawat as was indoors and wanted a delivery waited nearly 2 hours for it to be delivered!

Lovely meal. The free bottle of cobra went down well. Would use again.

BLOODY GORGEOUS

We order from Dawat about twice a month. They are an excellent company. The food is always very good quality (particularly the lamb shobuj bangla), arrives on time and is piping hot. 99% of the time we get bonus popadoms and a large bottle of Cobra. The delivery staff are very courteous.
