Food was ok, took a random stab at dawat as was indoors and wanted a delivery waited nearly 2 hours for it to be delivered!

We order from Dawat about twice a month. They are an excellent company. The food is always very good quality (particularly the lamb shobuj bangla), arrives on time and is piping hot. 99% of the time we get bonus popadoms and a large bottle of Cobra. The delivery staff are very courteous.

Although i ordered my meal in advance of the delivery time it was 20 minutes late, which is a shame as the food was really nice!

My order arrived 2 1/2 hours after I ordered it, after calling several times. No apology was made on delivery. The food was luke warm and the curry was very watery with fatty chicken. Would never use again.

We placed our order at 8.15pm and despite the email telling us it would be with us by 9:30 at the latest, it didn't turn up until 10PM (after I phoned to chase it up at 9.30 I was told 10 to 15 minutes, I phoned again just before 10 and was told 10 minutes again - fortunately it turned up just as we were about to cancel the order).
While the lamb podina was good, the chicken pasanda was more like soup with a (very) few small pieces of chicken added for flavour - more suited for serving in a bowl than on a plate. Very disappointing. Andrew, DA14
