this is my favourite indian takeaway in edinburgh but the murgh shahjani and the saag gost which were both disappointing compared to other places.the murgh shahjani ordered from other places had a nice sauce with it and a very nice sauce. these on the other hand both lacked flavour and neither had any sauce at all so was very difficult to eat-infact both tasted 99% identical so wouldn't order either of those dishes again from there again.

Third time I've ordered from them and the food is still excellent. My partner said his lamb rogan josh was the best he had ever eaten.

I thought my previous orders to other take aways were good, but I was wrong, compared to my Jaipuri chicken from Eastern Spices the my previous orders were average. It was absolutely delicious, I'm actually surprised as I was expecting a standard taste. The pepper was cooked but crunchy (yummy!) and the chicken juicy and tender. Perfect blend of spice and heat, will be ordering again.

After 25 years of deliveries from eastern Spices, the standards remain as high as ever. Well done
