I was supposed to get free bottle of wine (white); popadoms and chutney. I got bottle of red wine instead ONLY without a word!

Khatmandu special was spicy and flavoursome, as was a saag aloo. Vegetable rice was sumptuous with the zest of lemon, and the peshwari naan's coconut sweetness was velvety smooth without being sugary. King prawn cocktail, however, disappointed with the taste of cheap and cloying commercially- prepared- salad dressing, and an avocado salad, which was ordered to compliment this, conflicted badly since the bitter slivers of unripe tooth-denting avocado could only have been fit for bovine consumption. Finally, the free 'red wine' had morphed into a large Cobra (beer that is)!

Curry was too spicey, starters came looking half eaten. Chutney platter came with mango chutney only and no onions as it stated on the menu.

I specifically ordered much more than I wanted so I could get the free bottle of wine if you spent over £20 as advertised online....but it never materialised...so I can't help but feel like I was mislead.....However the food was good!

Have ordered here several times now as the first few times we enjoyed the food and the value, but the value seems to have deteriorated unfortunately in recent times, the most recent takeaway (last night) seemed to have half portions rather than the brimming portions we used to have, the naan has shrunk to the size of a tea saucer, and the onion bhaji was almost soggy, the quality of the food was good, everything was tasty and hot, but another bonus of having eaten from here several times is the ability to identify trends and it seems no matter which dishes I choose they all seem to taste incredibly similar, if it ain't broke don't fix it I suppose but personally I wouldn't mind getting something different once in a while. Finally the free gift is great, it's free, but I have chosen a bottle of red wine the last few times, and I never seem to get it, there is also a choice of white, but I don't get that either, this time I got a bottle of diet coke, it's a bonus undoubtedly as its free, but seeing as nobody in this house even likes diet coke if we don't get our choice honoured then we don't want it, it's no skin off our nose as long as we get what we paid for but I have to wonder if it's just a gimmick and to get customers in and then not worry about what the customer actually wants. Service was within good time and he seemed like a friendly guy. Overall however I will be trying somewhere else from now on, this place was my regular but due to decreasing quality I will now be searching for a new regular
