Last two times I ordered shanghai chilli chicken it hardly had any chillies in it. They used to put loads on and it was outstanding ! Might as well make it myself if I have to add extra. Come on good earth... Put the spice back in!

The Good Earth consistently delivers excellent food. The capital spare ribs are to die for, and I'm a die hard fan of their szechuan chicken and lamb in black bean sauce. It's dear but it's worth every penny. While the service is generally very good, ordering through Hungry House generally takes a little time. Expect to wait the full hour and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's well worth the wait.

I am always wary about ordering chinese food as I have found so often in the past that the food arrives soggy and gloopy so my order from The Good Earth was a pleasant surprise. The food arrived on time and packaged well and all was nice and hot. I had crispy dry chilli beef which was delicious - very crispy and tasty with no sign of any bright orange slimy sauce! It had not gone soggy in the packaging which was lovely. I would also recommend the fried noodles in bean sprouts which were very tasty and full of vegetables. My only gripes would be the £2 delivery charge for orders under £16 and the fact that considering the dishes were quite expensive, you didn't get enormous portions. But as this food was much better quality than many other takeaways I have experienced I would definitely order from here again!

3 delicious dishes, plus a slightly disappointing chow mein, all delivered in under half an hour. Not the cheapest, but better quality than your average chinese takeaway.
