We have just received our order and it's pretty much inedible. I specifically asked for the chilli spice to be low since it's the first time we have tried this place and some places can have the odd dish with heat, but every, single thing that arrived was spiked with chilli spice! Even the plain rice was spicy and the garlic naan which is normally just garlicky and not like fire! Everything had no flavour and just heat! Even people who were fine with hot spicy food had their eyes watering and three of us were unable to get more than a fraction of the way through after it got too much for us so most of the food has been thrown away. I am sitting here downing indigestion remedy after the food I managed which is not how I intended this treat night to go. It's certainly not a place we'd ever use again, the cost was more than we'd normally pay and I feel it was seriously overpriced for the quality of food we had. A massive disappointment and complete waste of money!

Response from restaurant: At Gulshan we always try to accommodate specific customer requests as best as possible but it can be difficult to exactly match individual expectations of spice levels. However we can categorically state that we do not and have never put any form of chilli or spice in either our PLAIN BOILED RICE dishes or GARLIC NAAN breads. Any spice added to dishes is included to enhance taste and in line with authentic Indian cuisine.
