A very disappointing takeaway. Although the main dish (butter chicken) was fine, the mushroom rice was tasteless and lacked bite. The two vegetable side dishes (aloo gobi and brinjal bhaji) were both very bland, uninspiring and lacking in spice. But what really made a bad meal worse was the plain nan, which was char-grilled black and was not edible. When we rang to report this we did not get an apology. They did offer to deliver a new nan which arrived 20 minutes after we finished our dinner and after we had called again. We have ordered from the Hemalaya twice before and had enjoyed the meal giving 5 stars on once occasion, but this was not a good day in the kitchen. Consequently we will not be ordering from here again.

A change from for couple of curry houses I usually use - really enjoyed the meal - will definitely be using the Hemalaya next time I fancy a curry..

Generous portions, full of flavour. Tasty and delicious! Efficient delivery service.
I have been visiting and also getting 'takeaway' from Hemalaya for the past 9 years I have lived in Stratford E15 and I have never been disappointed. All the friends and family I have introduced to Hemalya spontaneously say how great the food and service is. This is why we keep going back! [This is the first time I have used Hungry House to order and I experienced no problems]. M, E15
