there were mixed reviews in the household, some of us loved the food and also the fact that you can really tell it was made at the restaurant other than bought and reated at the restaurant, but others found the food to be either under or over cooked. the duck was tough and the beansprouts tasted a little off but the lemon chicken and spring rolls have been voted the best we have ever had form all the restaurants we ever tasted so far.

Despite my precise delivery instructions, I first had a call from the restaurant asking where my road is, then later a frantic phone call in broken English saying the delivery car could not find me, I went outside holding the phone, stood on a footpath near the road, and the car described by the caller went past me without stopping and disappeared. After five minutes I called the restaurant who sent the order again with a different car/driver. I found him, not he me!!
The food by then was getting cold, but I admit £1.70 was taken off the charge. The beef and the lemon chicken were fine, but the rest of the meal was not. The rice dish was dry and flavourless and seemed to be re-hashed, the "crispy duck" had an incinerated skin, the pancakes were of course cold. The cucumber and onion were excellent. The banana fritters had a thick batter and were unappetising, maybe in part because of the delay in delivery. Altogether, having paid out £20, I wished I had not bothered, and I was thorougly chilled from standing about outside. There are instructions to each block of numbers in the road, on a sign leading into it! We were customers of Hoi Tin takeaway more than 40 years ago, it has gone down significantly in my estimation.
