I have eaten in the restaurant and was expecting the same standard of food- unfortunately the delivery took a long time and some of the dishes were a little flavourless :o(

Consistently good food. Very fresh and pretty much the best you will get locally. Fully recommended!

Where have you been hiding Madhuwan? I can't believe this restaurant has slipped under my radar!
OK, so perfection is quite a strong word, but I simply can't use anything else to describe my first experience of this restaurant. For a start, the suited and booted man who politely delivered my order couldn't have been jollier! As for the food, I went for the more traditional dishes from the house specialties and discovered that stepping away from norm can lead you on a road to gastronomic discovery - the chicken aishwarya was truly delicious - rich with nuts, cream and spices! I am always encouraged by a menu that has a few select items rather than a never ending choice of "same old, same old" - It's indicative of a chef that cares about the each of the dishes he cooks. I for one, am looking forward to trying each and every one of them. I believe Madhuwan and I will be coming very well acquainted! K, BR2

This was the first time I had tried Madhuwan but had heard rave reviews about the place. I'd say the only downside was the time took for the food to arrive, about an hour and a half after ordering. When it did arrive though, it was delicious! Not the huge portions you sometimes get, fairly conservative but the king prawn puree was just that right balance of tamarind tang and spice. The lamb rara was delicious and a nice level of heat but perfectly spiced with cassia and cloves coming through.
Pricey, not a curry in a hurry but very, very tasty! Wesley, BR1

Fourth or fifth time we have had takeaway from here. And we've eaten in the restaurant once as well. Food is consistently good. Lamb samosas were crispy on the outside and soft and meaty in the middle and the prawn bhuna was excellently balanced in flavour. Would recommend.

The food was nice but not great bearing in mind it is the most expensive takeaway we've had in a long time. Some interesting choices on the menu but you can't really try too much variation without breaking the bank. Also it was very late. It took nearly 20 mins for the order to even be accepted. Then having been given a latest arrival time of 21.50 and it arrived around 22.10 a fraction under 2 hours after I'd sent and paid for the order. I'm afraid that rules me out of ordering from them again. Once bitten etc.
