Well...again for the 2nd night in a row I ordered a meal - and again, the starter and nan bread were cold and the main (although very tasty) was just an edible temperature - if they could get the food a bit hotter I'd be rating this as the best takeaway in Edinburgh

Chicken pakora and paratha were cold, chicken tikka masala was excellent (really like that you can say how hot you want it - I went for hot, maybe medium next time - very tasty though) - ill definitely be back - although they need to ensure all food is piping hot !

My meal was so delicious that i am trying to recreate it in my own kitchen....cant quite match the restaurant! I am also having the cucumber riatta days afterwards cos i ordered two and it was so tastey with my poorly homemade nann bread. some Indian ingrediants are just so mind blowingly tastey! Hungry House is now top of my list for take aways,

Average food so considering the price it was pretty disappointing.

Delicious food, looked great and lots of chutney and pickle chucked in for free which was a very nice touch. 6 of us shared it and not one of us was disappointed by a single dish.

The food is second to none, literally, its delicious, its different, its fresh; ticks all the boxes.
The problem is that every order I've had over the last few months (whether ordered via Hungryhouse or direct) has had one or more items missing, or changed. I've let it go because I'm not one for complaining, but this weekend I ordered two meals (the second of which was discounted because of the shocking state of the first), which has resulted in my having to fork out money to a company just to end up cooking for myself - which kinda defeats the purpose. If I wanted to fund someone elses business I'd expect a percentage share! It doesn't stop there though, the delivery driver (very nice chap) has been at my door about 5 times over the last 48 hours bringing replacements. He's literally just left with his 'final' replacement going straight back because it had burst all over the bag. The ridiculous thing is he tried to say it would still be ok to eat despite it being in 'the bag' and not 'the container'! EH??? He also went on about how they recycled their containers, so someone else would have had the one my curry was in, but hey it's ok because its disinfected etc... what?? I don't want to know that when I'm just about to eat a meal from it! Do they tell their sit-in customers when they arrive at the table "excuse me sir, hope you don't mind but that plate your using has been used by 3000 people, its ok though, we washed it last night; enjoy your meal". Now, the fact they've sent replacements (albeit wrong / burst replacements) might 'sound' like great customer service, but how about getting just 'one' order correct? How about taking responsibility for your mistakes (they denied anything was wrong, despite my handing back the wrong orders they gave me, and made me feel guilty for requesting a replacement/refund). Rant over. Enjoy your meal! Dave, EH3

Mezbaan's food is delicious. Masala Dhosa is a favourite of mine - but the other dishes I've tried have all been lovely. Delivery service was very quick, pleasant chap. Vegetarian frlendly and (hallelujah) not at all oily.

Really lovely, authentic South Indian dishes - reminiscent of home cooking from Kerala and Goa.
