Hello---
This was an 86 pound sterling order for our family to enjoy on New Years Eve before going out. Food was delivered on time. Unfortunately that was the only pleasant experience with this order:
General Tso's Chicken was a very dry, hard, rubbery chicken dish with NO sauce. It was the worst General Tso's I have ever had;
Pepper Fillet was actually worse. We couldn't chew it or cut it with a knife. Imagine cutting a slice from your Michelins and serving it and you will get the picture;
The Roast Pork with Chili Oil was OK in terms of tenderness but was so extremely HOT (spicy) there were tears running our faces---for the record, this family loves spicy food and regularly enjoys Szechuan restaurants and very hot curries. The Roast Pork also went straight to the bin.
The King Prawns in garlic sauce were normal and edible.
The Dim Sum platter was disgusting, must have been assorted leftovers from other customers.
The Grilled Pork dumplings were edible due to the tasty filling but the Vegetable Dumplings were wrapped in such thick dough that they also got thrown out.
Incredibly, the Steamed Rice (2 large portions) was simply excellent.

I say this this with all due respect to all concerned: This was the single worst Chinese food experience we have had in the last 10 years.
DO NOT EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER FROM THIS SO CALLED RESTAURANT.
SHAME ON YOU Mr Ma.

I ordered from Mr. Ma tonight (Friday). I've never had a problem with them previously, but tonight they've missed the entire delivery window. I ordered at 7:04pm and the delivery was supposed to be due between 7:30pm-8:30pm. It's now 9:10pm and I still haven't received my order. This is unacceptable. I called the restaurant at 8:30pm and they said it would arrive in 20 minutes. I called again 30 minutes later and they said the driver just left 5 minutes prior. They just apologized with no consideration for refund or anything. I understand it's Friday, but don't accept the order window if you can't meet it. While the food is good, it's not the best service.

Mr Ma usually has decent food, but this time the crispy duck was 90% skin and almost no duck (and wholly inedible) and the dim sum were horrible. The dumplings were, as usual, great, which is why I chose poor instead of awful for food quality, but on the whole this was really disappointing from a place that has done much better.

The food has always arrived on time at the beginning of the delivery window and piping hot. Great service and the food is pretty good too! It must be a UK thing but vinegar is not the sauce that should be provided with dumplings but I guess I'm just spoiled with my US chinese food. Either way, we keep coming back to Mr. Ma!

Bloody delicious but bloody expensive!! Really wanted Dim Sum, and it all arrived hot and lovely - I wanted some squid as well though but at over £8 I thought better of it!

 

Food was really nice and arrived pretty quickly. prawn dimsums were perfect as was thai red curry. wife thought the szechuan chicken was too sweet but i quite liked it-otherwise it would have been 5 for quality of food.

Unfortunately, the sweet & sour sauce for my chicken balls was missing-I told them to bring it and they said it would be 30-40 minutes which i felt was a bit long but i had most of my food so wasnt a major deal. I reminded them to bring fresh chicken balls as the existing ones would be cold by the time they arrived. 2 and a half hours later just as i'm preparing for bed my doorbell rings with the chicken balls and sauce. i'd thought they'd forgotten. There was no apology and no courtesy call earlier.

Shame the service didnt match the food.

Took over 90 minutes to arrive and wasn't particularly nice food. I won't be using them again any time soon.

Ordered at 20:27, called to enquire where it was at 10pm, was told delivery driver was 10mins away, the food arrived at 22:45, no apology from the delivery driver.

The food was cold and had obviously been standing for a while.

If it hadn't have been almost 11pm, then I'd have called and asked for a replacement, but judging on the delivery time, I didn't feel like getting another delivery at 1am.

Will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Waiting the FULL waiting time....and a little bit more, some dishes had leaked out into the bag, the curry sauce pot's lid had come off, it was cold AND the chicken balls were as hard as stone! Had to throw them away!! Chicken and ginger was ok though, but will stick to my usual place from now on.

The food is ALWAYS hot. I've ordered from Mr. Ma several times in the past few months and haven't had any issues. I'd avoid the mushroom chow main only because it's bland. The dumpings are good (although the vinegar "sauce" isn't that great) and the kung po chicken/szechuan chicken are similar to each other but very tasty and have a quite a spicy.

The food arrived hot and on time. However, the dishes were lackluster and lacked any flavour, very disappointing especially considering the prices.

Very good overall. Great duck!

Good food!

The food arrived well within the required time (to W1) and we were pleasantly surprised by how hot it was. Everything was in the order and the food was great. We really needed our chow mein fix and it hit the spot. We'll definitely be ordering from them again!!
