I think the meal was not as good as i thought it would be when i readed the reviews

i had to come out of the buildings and collect my food from the delivery car window, i thought this was very unprofessional, despite the delivery guy seeming friendly enough. the food was ok, nothing to right home about.

New Shang Hai does a lovely selection of food including some really authentic chinese items. The quality is consistent. The takeaway isn't anything to look at, but the premises seem clean and tidy inside and their food hygiene certificates are on display. The portions are generous and they tend to send free prawn crackers with the order. I've found the delivery a bit shambolic in the past. Although the most recent order was really prompt, they tried to deliver to the wrong house and I had to go out and find the driver. I think this is mainly because New Shan Hai is a small family business. I will definitely be back the next time I fancy chinese takeaway.
