China Garden, Weoley Castle

Sometimes the future can be uncertain, and sometimes it can be a downright mystery. It's no surprise then that the fortune cookies from China Garden were particularly wide of the mark for this weeks Review of the Week winner.

Luckily though the food was spot on, and our reviewer Samantha has had one piece of good luck – a £25 hungryhouse voucher!

Imperial Dragon, Hammersmith

Our Review of the Week winner, Shirley, reports that her fortune from Imperial Dragon came true. We're guessing the fortune cookie read something like: 'abundance will manifest itself in a £25 hungryhouse voucher.'

Shirley ordered the perfect takeaway from Imperial Dragon, including fresh pak shoi and crispy beef. She's left us wondering, how does crispy beef manage to be crispy and chewy at the same time?

Magic in a Pint

Guinness is good for you. Guinness gives you wings. Guinness was the first beer to be consumed in outer space. These are a few rumours surrounding the magic in a pint of Guinness. In a land filled with luck and gold clad leprechauns, it's no wonder Ireland created a magical beer.

We gathered hungryhouse employees to do a bit of 'company research' surrounding the claims of Guinness. After a few rounds, everyone started spouting off “facts” about Guinness. Our content managers fiercely took notes and googled such statements. Can you sort through this Guinness malarkey?

March is Noodle Month

hungryhouse loves food holidays (shocking, we know). Garlic day on 19/4 keeps the vampires (and potential lovers) away. British Yorkshire pudding day on 5/2 provides a MASSIVE feast day. Chocolate week in October makes chocolate covered bananas, chips, and even bacon, legit.

What food is so tasty, so versitle, and so loved by a nation, that it's allowed the entire month of March? NOODLES!

For Oooodles of Noodles month, formerly known as March, hungryhouse has created a noodle calendar to guide you through heaps and heaps of yumminess. Can you keep up?
