Takeaway the Holidays with hungryhouse

Everywhere you look, holiday cheer is dressed up in red and scented with pine needles. Over the years, hungryhouse has discovered that holiday cheer is undeniably more cheerful when accompanied by food.

Takeaway food can sometimes takes a back seat to Grandma's roasted goose (with good reason), but hungryhouse has found a way to incorporate our beloved takeaway rituals with the holiday season.

Pet a Reindeer:

hungryhouse is nearly positive that Santa Claus snacks while charging into town on his reindeer drawn sleigh, so why can't we? Order some spicy curry and head to your local zoo to see what kind of festive creatures they have on display. At London Zoo's Reindeer Lodge you can pet Santa's helpers, but keep the curry to yourself. Other highlights include feeding of the penguins at Penguin Beach

Sit on Santa's Lap:

Santa Claus works laboriously throughout the year to provide for the nice (sometimes naughty) boys and girls. When you go to plop down on Santa's lap and complain about your two front teeth, bring some sweets along with you. Use the “keyword search” function on hungryhouse.co.uk to find “dessert” in your area. (example search of SW15 dessert)

Attend Holiday Parties

If you're going for class, takeaway food may not be the most obvious option for your fancy holiday party. Think again though, if the party in question is potluck style. You might be able to impress your host by passing off a culinary masterpiece as your own. As the evening trails on and the eggnog runs out, keep in mind that hungryhouse partners with several Alcohol and Drink Delivery Services

Watch Christmas Films

No holiday season is complete with out a Christmas film fest. Takeaway fits in nice and easy with this holiday ritual. hungryhouse has put together a list of our favourite holiday must sees. Try to see them all this year, even if it will be the 50 millionth time you've seen them.
