The Cinnamon Tree, Raynes Park
There are takeaway experiences that are good, then there are takeaway experiences that are so good, you just have to shout about them (or rush to your computer to write a review).
This week's Review of the Week winner Sue had just such an experience when she ordered an Easter Sunday meal from The Cinnamon Tree in Raines park. Sue wins a £25 hungryhouse voucher to enjoy another 'faultless' selection from The Cinnamon Tree.
"Not often you go straight online to review a meal within minutes of finishing it! But we had to seize the opportunity to commend The Cinnamon Tree. Delivery was very prompt, and food piping hot despite the Tree being quite a distance from us.
There wasn't a single dish that was below par. Instead of our usual chicken tikka starters, we ordered a tandoori mixed grill which was excellent and plentiful. The chicken jalfrezi, and vegetable dhansak, both prepared hot to our request (nice touch) ticked the bill too, fresh, tender meat, good veg, tasty sauces.
Poppadums were fresh and crisp, and the free chicken bhuna was great for a freebie. Close to faultless, I would say, with special praise for the salad and onion salad accompaniments as they were both super fresh and aromatic with fresh coriander rather than an afterthought - always the sign of a good restaurant.
Thank you Cinnamon Tree for giving us a very enjoyable Easter Sunday evening meal. (And please, please put some spicy poppodums on the menu!)"
