More helpful iPhone app features

Our new iPhone app has been out for a bit now and we thought it would be good to highlight some of the features that you may not have noticed. Read on for more info on how to win £25 by using our new iPhone app.

Navigating menus

Tired of scrolling through page after page to get to the dessert section of the menu? We have included a "section list" button to get you there in a jiffy.

Get an overview of the menu and jump directly to your desired section with the button in the top-right of the screen.

Can I look at menus without signing in?

Yes, simply skip the sign in screen by tapping on "my orders". This will let you browse menus and build orders immediately. You will be prompted to sign in later if you decide to order.

Can I look at my favourite menus offline?

Menus are saved as you go and available in offline mode. When you view a menu, it is automatically saved to your phone. Not only can you view the complete menu without internet access, but you can setup your order and have it ready to be placed when you can get online. So if you're on the London Underground or just have no signal, you can still work out what to eat!

How do I repeat a past order?

Tap on the History tab bar icon at the bottom of the screen. Then choose your location to see a list of orders previously placed from that address. Tap an order to open it, and then tap Order Again at the bottom. This will replace the contents of your basket with items from the old order. You can then checkout in the normal way, go back and add extras or edit items.

My appshake removes items better than yours! (damn right!)

Want to remove all your items from the basket and start your order again? When looking at the basket simply shake your iPhone to remove all items. After shaking you will be asked if you want to remove all items, say yes and get back to ordering!

*note: shake to remove items only works on iPhone 4.

How to tweet and post your orders (and win £25 in the process)

Once you have placed your order you can tweet or post what you have ordered on facebook. After checking out you will be redirected to the homepage, where there are two buttons. One is "post to wall" and the other is "tweet order."

Want to win £25? The most creative tweet or facebook post will win £25 credit on hungryhouse.
