When ordering an online takeaway have you tried the supercalifragilisticexpialidociously amazing keyword search tool yet? NO!? Then you have come to the right place.

A while back we added some new features to our site. One of our personal favourites here at hungryhouse was the new keyword search box. We thought the best way to streamline the ordering process and find exactly what we want could only come from a google type search.

After entering your postcode and searching for restaurants near you, there is a box on the left that says "Keyword search". Expand the box by clicking on the little arrow. Now you can go for it.

Let's say you are craving a chicken biryani, you simply enter "chicken biryani" in the box, hit go and you can see all the restaurants that have chicken biryani, it shows the dishes and where "chicken biryani" is mentioned in the description.

Next scenario: You mention to your pregnant wife that you want a chicken biryani, she wants the same, but with mushrooms and prawns. A strange combination perhaps, but always remember that if you value your happiness, then you must never question a pregnant woman! Enter "biryani chicken with mushrooms and prawns" et voila, you have a winner - 4 of them actually!

Another great thing about the keyword search is that you can compare the prices of the same types of dishes across different restaurants. You can also compare the ratings of the restaurants in the same view to work out which dish that you're craving might be the best value or the most tasty.

Sometimes the description of the item can be quite long, to read it all simply click and drag the description up or down. From the search results we can also click between the restaurants special offers, reviews, map, hours and extra delivery charges.
