How exactly can the new iPhone app help you survive the night whilst sleeping on the pavement? Some may say that if you have already gone that far that's the last thing you need help with, but we are here to help anyway.

First, you're going to need a list of takeaways near your camping spot. While most Londoners may have a favourite takeaway near Westminster Abbey, most of us will be clueless. That is where the iPhone app's "nearby" function comes in.

When selecting your location, simply tap the nearby button, found at the bottom of the location screen. The app will use your phones internal gps to determine which takeaways deliver to your camp, no need to return from picking up your food to find new tenants have occupied your claimed area.

We have spent the last year working hard to make the app give you all the functionality of the site, while still keeping it simple.
