It was a delight to use Hungryhouse for the first time and find one of our favourite local restuarants on there.... we had no idea that Poppy Hana delivered. We love their bento boxes at the best of times so, tucked up at home and full of seasonal lurgy, a home delivery of their excellent food was just what the doctor ordered.

This one was a little disappointing because of a cocked-up delivery. We are less than half a mile from Poppy Hana but the food arrived as if it had been in a frantic chase over miles and miles of pot-holed roads. The uni and ikura nigiri arrived looking particularly bashed up by the journey. But we were lucky to get what we ordered anyway. The first bags of food that were handed over were completely wrong. Luckily we were able to catch the guy before he drove off (I think he'd realised his mistake himself). But at these prices (though reasonable for Japanese in London) we expect a lot better - especially as we are very regular customers who don't skimp on what we order.

The edamame & rice dishes were great but no soy sauce with the sashimi was a disappointment. Also wasn't keen on the mayonnaise that ended up on the spring rolls from the salad garnish. Better to get the food from the restaurant itself as it's always delicious there.
