Always good stuff from these chaps. Just a pity the restaurant itself is always empty, otherwise i'd eat in more often.

It just took far too long to arrive an hour beyond the estimate
We stumbled upon saalam namaste while looking for a good local indian takeaway one night and the quality of the food surpassed all our expectations! The ginger lamb chops and briyani are to die for! We have been coming back ever since and it never disappoints!
Food arrived half an hour late and cold. Not impressive given I live a 5 minute drive away. No apology from the delivery man, although he did ask whether or not I was "going to pay" - then handed me a receipt with "paid online" clearly written on it when I informed him that I had paid by card. Food was good, once reheated, and fairly generous portions. Came with free poppadoms, which was a nice surprise.
Took nearly 2 hours to get food. And one of the dishes was wrong. Food good though.
Some potentially very tasty dishes but absolutely awash with oil/ghee! Every dish was swimming, which is such a shame as there were some fantastic flavours there... Won't be trying again!
Food was acceptable and used fresh ingredients but potions modest for the slightly higher price. It was delivered very quickly.
Tandoori king prawn massala was excellent, chicken madras was excellent too, nice rich colour, quality flavours. The only thing was there was lots of sauce but quite a low amount of meat. Apart from that, its one of the best indian take aways ever. Restuarant quality, not just good but really authentic and flavoursome. Just more meat please!!!
one papadam missing one naan missing no chicken in the curry

An excellent takeaway as far as food quality is concerned: delicious curries and vegetarian dishes. Too bad that it took so long to be delivered.
Took 1.5 hours for food to arrive. Food shockingly low quality, inedible. Every dish very watery. Will never order from here again. There are much better to be found.
Food was good, but it arrived half an hour later than the 'very latest' time given in the estimate. I needed it for a time-critical business meeting in W1 (the office address should have made that obvious) which was therefore delayed. The wine given by way of apology was appreciated but didn't make up for the embarrassment of keeping very busy people waiting. It's a shame - Shikara could have had a regular order from me but I'll need to look elsewhere. Businesses operating in central London need to keep their promises.
Food was fine. Great value with the first order discount. However, it was really slow taking more than an hour and requiring a follow up call.
Supper last night was fantastic. It wasn't expensive, it came earlier than I expected and it tasted great!... I have used this service a couple of times, I am yet to be dissapointed... thank you
Lovely food, very tasty indeed and made quickly (we picked up the meal from the restaurant). I would definately use them again. Great value with the Hungrey House promotion, would have been a little expensive without it.
Food didn't taste of much and the butter chicken was way too runny. Food was hot and delivered on time though
The food at shikaras was amazing!!! The Naga chicken was absoulte divine. I do like my curries hot but with flavour, and shikaras has struck the right notes. will certainely order much more. thank you hungryhouse for the experience
Overall it was ok, they missed our coke which they subsequently delivered, overall - average. They took over 1 hour to deliver so was not too happy about that.

Late - I appreciate the weather wasn't bad but if delivery was difficulty the order could have been cancelled. The person delivering wanted me to pay 40 pence more, which I refused.
The meat items arrived hot and were fine. Onion baji, chipati etc all arrived cold and popadoms were soft as if they were old. The yoghurt with the yoghurt and cucber dish had curdled and gone lumpy. Not very impressed t all.
Ordered my first take-away from the Ivory Arch, it came on time and was deliecious. Thanks
Order was delivered *late.* We called 20 minutes after the order was supposed to arrive and were told the delivery should arrive shortly. The should have notified us if the delivery was going to be late. The food: chicken tikka was okay, had some flavor, though it was very liquidy for some reason and the portion was a bit small. The chicken jalfrezi was *very* spicy (and we like hot!), which large peppers cut in half and added in. The chicken in it was in these bizarre rectangular slabs, which we thought were paneer at first. The paneer dish we ordered was... not to our taste. The naan and rice were fine. Overall the food is pretty standard Indian fare in London, somewhat disappointing but serves its function when you're too lazy to cook at home. It is a bit oily as well. We had ordered kulfi as well but apparently they didn't have it as we were refunded the charge for those when the restaurant accepted our order (though we had to deduce that from the amount of the refund).
Lamb tikka, rice, naan and raitha arrived in the final gasp of the promised delivery period and not much above lukewarm. Overlookable were it not for there being only about seven dryish prune-sized ovine lumps swimming in a vast orange sea. Pale flabby bread didn't give the impression of having seen the inside of a tandoor. Pilau and yoghurt dish both fine, as was the Hungryhouse ordering system on what was my first try. Better luck next time?
Very good food as usual although delivery went to wrong place.. all sorted eventually though but delivery was definately longer than expected
I ordered at 3.30pm, and at 5.45pm the delivery still had not come, so I called to cancel. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Very tasty food again - curries do tend to be a little oily which I don't understand - surely they can just reduce the amount of oil used. But good ingredients, lots of fresh herbs and good...
