Rated level of service as fair as no receipt was given on delivery and it took just under 90 minutes to deliver food but quality and value for money were spot on

Order arrived late. Balti was good, but the 'large' naan wasn't very large. I'd say normal sized. Overall 7/10.

A big disappointment. I am not a fussy eater but would expect a curry to be like a curry. Instead it appeared like a mix of someone else's curry as there were two distinct colours and then a tin of tomatoes chucked in for good measure. Attempted to eat it and had to chuck away. Luckily the peshwari Nan was nice so I managed to salvage some of the chicken out of the curry. I would not use again.

The food was terrible. When it eventually arrived it was cold and tasteless. The starter which was meant to be for 2 people only had enough for one person and what was there was cold and overcooked. Very disappointing. I phoned to complain and the manager has offered me a free meal next time I order. I would have preferred a refund off the terrible food I received on the night. Not recommended.

Being a single guy with a very very demanding job, I tend to eat out almost every evening and as such I have had the pleasure of eating most of the takeaways/restaurants in Wolverhampton. Having never tried Cafe Rickshaw, I decided to give this restaurant a try. I do not have a constrained budget and I ordered food worth 52 pounds from the restaurant given that I was told the food was pretty good.
Unfortunately that couldn't have been further away from the truth. I will list the finer points first though.. There were a few freebies thrown in. Onion Bhaji included for free with every order of 10 GBP or more was a thoughtful touch. And they included two free Cobra beer bottles along with the order which I thought was a nice gesture. The food was delivered pretty fast but then again we do live 10 minutes away. Now on to the food, We ordered three curries, 4 Naan breads and 1 biryani dish and a aloo chat starter. The aloo chat and Biryani were really great. We thoroughly enjoyed the items. The Naans were not cooked too well. They were too thick and the dough in the middle was raw. The meat however the biggest disappointment. The chicken smelt bad like it had been frozen for ages and then thawed and cooked. Not to mention it came to us cold! The chicken curry also tasted different and we had throw most of it away in fear that we would upset our stomachs. The Peshwari lamb however tasted better than the Chicken Naga and Garlic Chicken we had ordered. On the tandoori mixed grill side, the lamb and chicken were once again stale and cold when delivered. All in all I was rather disappointed with the meal and I do not believe it was worth the 50 pounds I spent on it. I have been to plenty of other places where the same amount of food would have costed marginally less and would have been fresh and tasted better. I am probably not going to order from here ever again. That said this was my first and only experience here and it might have been an isolated incident with our order. Alex Ravi, WV6
