Had a message to say that the order would be delayed, but it arrived in no time at all and when I tucked into the food it was delicious! Totally recommend from the lamb dosa starter to the divine chocolate ice cream.

Never had any trouble with Safa either from the quality of the food to the delivery time.

Our first meal from Safa was actually pretty good. We were impressed by the amount of Prawns in the dishes and it tasted really good. However, last night we ordered a take away as we had friends round. The lamb passanda that we ordered turned up less than half full. It had two pieces of lamb in it and was a smaller portion than the side dish we had ordered. Our guest was disappointed so we called up Safa to complain. The man on the phone just argued at us and told us that next time we should request more sauce! There won't be a next time. The vegetable curry that came with the biriyani was quite strange too. It didn't seem to contain any vegetables and was more like a lentil soup... It did taste quite nice though.

This is a very high quality Indian, very tasty and not for any increase in money. Delivery guy was very nice. Will always come back.

The food was delivered promptly and packaged well, therefore retaining it's heat. We ordered two lassi (one sweet, one mango) and they were incredibly tasty. Plus, we received a free side order of cauliflower bhaji - which was delicious and will now become a regular fixture to our ordering. You could tell that the produce was really fresh and the spices were well balanced, creating deliciously authentic Indian cuisine. This was light-years ahead of your average greasy Indian take-away. Vegetarians are catered for impeccably by Safa, and the stuffed paratha was divine.

Safa used to be great, it was the best - but now based on last nights meal it is poor to average. It arrived late, the rice was hard, the nan was soggy and the tiger prawn balcheou was faintly based on the legendary dish that they used to make. All in, not great. I'm so bored of average restaurants - give me something exciting!

we thought we'd try safa after boycotting them for 5 years or so after we had a terrible meal in the restaurant. we had been advised that their food had improved. sadly not. tiny portions with poor quality ingredients. The sauces were clearly deficient of the essential ingredients to make them appetising: no cream in the passanda, no spices in the brinjal bhaji. the nan was chewy. the lamb tasted disgusting; elderly and lacking cohesion. the tandori chicken was passable, but i went i thoguht about the quality of the lamb, it started to stick in my craw.
when there are so many bog standard, ok indian restaurants in london, i am amazed that this actively very bad one has stayed in business for such a long time. T, SE5
