We had the usual karahi gosht, palak paneer, nawabi khan chicken and chana dal. Each dish was a potent parcel of explosive individual flavours, much more interesting than the generic fare of lesser curry houses who work to the modern McDonalds ideal of bland, inoffensive consistency. Granted the meats used clearly like to frolic in a glorious inch of oil/ghee but that is nothing that cannot be remedied by allowing a hungry kitteh to skim off the top layer. The palak paneer sported an imposing density of gorgeous silken dairy product and could perhaps use a touch more fluffy spinach for balance but that's a personal preference. Application of chilli is liberal in the right places, i.e. not thoughtlessly hurled into every dish, which was welcome. The breads have just the right balance of crunch and softness, a far cry from the steamed pudding or granite biscuits one sometimes finds. The food was delivered swiftly and piping hot, although I had to talk the (very friendly and polite) driver in as apparently it is bad form to allow him to glance at a map before setting off. All in all we were delighted by Saffron and will certainly use again. Om nom nom nom nom.

I love this place, beautiful food and traditional and excellent service.

Food was really greesey with a thcik 4mm layer on top and the House Delight i has was bland and tasteless. Had to leave most of it after starting to feel sick after to much greese. I'm hoping they were just having an off day as i have hear good things about saffron. Generally disappointed.

Great restaurant, I eat there all the time. Pity about the constant illegal parking in the cycle lane outside.

Horrible oily food nearly gave me a heart attack if you don't value your life order from here p.s samosas were the size of my 2 year olds finger nails absolute joke

Love this place, so glad I've found a proper curry house that does proper curry!! Delicious!

Food was excellent, first time we have eaten from Saffron. Recommended by a friend liked the idea of ordering and paying for take away food online with discount if you collect yourself. Meal was ready at the time stated to pick up and very good value. Will definately order again from Saffron.

2 different curries tasted the same, both very greasy, missed an item off the order, will not be ordering again

the food was stunning, chicken mackhani is really moreish and creamy, the starters were lovely too. a little small on the portions is my only criticism

Food good but order took nearly an hour to be ready and there was no sauce with biryani dish - we rang about this and were told the biryani did not come with sauce - this was disappointing

All the food was beautiful, tasty and fresh. Good clean food, not swimming in oil like some curries. Mouthwatering and resonably priced too.
