Order took well over 1.5 hrs. Such a long wait for fairly average food. Won't be using Taj Mahal again.

Ordered from here for the first time and was hoping for a good feed. How disappointing to be given low quality food. Here is a breakdown and comments on the twelve items ordered.
Chicken Tikka Massala.... (wife). Much MUCH too nutty, loose almost watery sauce, 7 pieces of chicken. And really Bright red !! marks (out of 10 ) 2 Chicken Tikka garlic chilli...... Worst i've ever had.....NO taste, NO heat, watery, garlic chunks were just bulbs of garlic cut in half... YUK..YUK..YUK.....binned it 0 Pilau rice..... stodgy 3 Special rice.....old, over cooked 1 onion bhaji........3 small balls 4 Mushroom bhaji..... not bad !! 6 Chapati.....good 7 Naan bread (with butter)....pure stodge 1 Popadoms..... good 7 Green sauce....looked radioactive, dreadful 0 Free drink.....ordered Diet, got full fat !! 0 Salad....... 5 We started to eat, then Binned the lot. This restaurant was recommended to me and I ordered a basic meal just to see what the quality is like as I can be rather fussy. The masala was mild, which I like and the portion huge, I will definitely be ordering again.

Having placed my order it was delayed due to the restaurant thinking I'd over ordered on the mint sauce (i love mint sauce) but then when the food got to us we had to wait a further 5 minutes or so before the driver would give us the food as he wasn't told that we'd payed for it online and had to verify this. When the driver said "see you next time" I smiled and said "there won't be a next time" as I shut the door. As soon as I tasted the food I was not only eating my words but the food couldn't reach my tastebuds quick enough. The food is the best Indian food I have ever had and despite the smooth running of the order/delivery I would defineately recommend this restaurant - you just have to overlook the lack of organisation.

Delivery man hadn't been told that the meal was pre-paid, but cheerfully took my word for it when I told him. Nice meal.
