sasdly the food was not up to it's usual standard on this occasion. Having ordered loyally and regularly from The Stag for a few years I may now look at other options. The delivery arrived shortly after the latest time quoted. Not a big problem particularly and it was a Friday evening so understandable. However, the food was far from it's usual standard. The sag gosht was soggy and bland, the lamb nowhere near tender enough. The chicken korma was acceptable but also quite soggy. the butterfly prawn was borderline unpleasant. The lamb tikka starter again was not tender enough. Bhajis and rice etc. were fine. So, disappointing after many good experiences with The Stag in the past - I wonder have they changed their chef or something?

Another fine meal from the stag. Quality of food was good, as it always has been when I have ordered. The 25% off deal via hungryhouse also means you get a lot of bang for your buck. Service was prompt and polite. Recommended.

The stag does it again!
I have had a few meals from the stag over the last month (just love curry) although the delivery can be a bit hit and miss the food ticks all the boxes (well it does for me) The hurry michi chicken is quite simply lovely, not just hot and spicy but it has layers of flavor, the nan’s are like little fluffy clouds and the prawn puri is fab. Anyway enough of this, I have just talked myself in to placing another order lol. Steven, SW6

I have been working away form home for some time so have not had the opportunity to order from the Stag, the last time ordered the food was wonderful so I was surprised to see some of the negative comments; so with some trepidation I placed my order
I had nothing to worry about; the food arrived promptly and was piping hot all the dishes where full of flavor, I will definitely order from the Stag again. Soon! Steven, SW6

Food was good. However, I would say the following, we ordered at about 6pm, and the food didn't arrive until about 8pm. We called the restaurant at 7:20 to see what this issue was and were told that the food was on its way. About 20 minutes later we called again and were told that the driver was lost, and would be calling us for directions.
When it eventually arrived, the driver told us that he had only set off 15 minutes previously, which meant that the guy in the shop had lied to us about the food being on its way. As I say the food was good but the service in particular being lied to was not good. Daniel, SW6

The food was good. Unfortunately it was late - and the restaurant just said that they were busy. Well of course they were busy - they're doing a deal, which is the only reason we went with them. When it turned up they'd missed out a dish. I rang immediately, but they refused to send the remaining dish (half of a chicken biryani) again because they were busy. They said they'd send it next time. I argued and they agreed to take it off the bill. Didn't really help the hungry person missing half their dinner. There won't be a next time.

Ordered last night after a long days travel, order arrived almost 2 hours late with a simple sorry. We had rung twice and both times were told with the driver was on his way.

Did arrive very quickly which is good. Food is average at best, i wouldn't order the chicken tikka starter though, very very small portion.
