Not the best takeaway I have had.Chefs need to work on flavours and give some soul into it.Indian food should be delicious and full of life and spices. This one was not.

As usual, the flavours were amazing. We always go for one very hot and one mild-ish curry and even when it's flaming hot, one can still taste the different flavours.
We eat at the restaurant as well and the deliveries are just as good - same big portions. Great value for money! We do think the Tale is the best curry house in London! N, E3

We only ever use this takeaway when looking for a good curry now. The quality of the meat is great, the flavours spot on and we never have any left overs of the big portions to go back to for breakfast the next day. Delivery in less than an hour even though we're a good few miles away, and friendly efficient staff. The highlight of this place has to be it's mild dishes - normally the last choices in our household! Beautiful texture and sweet flavour and irresistibley moreish. I'd especially recommend the lamb passanda.

Try the specials, they are worth it. Lots of interesting variety and great fresh ingredients shine through. Much better than the average curry!

Paying £30.00 for 3 curries and 2 keema bread is a bit of a joke and once you tasted it you realise it was not that good and would have been better getting something of the shelf for 1/3 of the price. I wont be goin there again...

Apart from one dish out of five, the food we ordered was awful. Servings are also very small, sugary and not as described, and when we complained staff were argumentative, rude and wouldn't listen to what we had to say.
we paid 25 pounds for this meal, and will never order again. bad food and no common decency/sense when questioned about quality and value. Will never order again. P, E14

Very impressed indeed. Fresh, hot, plenty of flavour without too much reliance on seasonings. The taste of the ingredients shone through. Delivered ahead of schedule too.

The Tale of India is unsurpassable - by far the best indian takeaway I've had.
I ordered chicken jallashari and saag paneer, two dishes I'd highly recommend. The jallashari was packed with large pieces of tender chicken, onions, tomatoes, garlic and ginger in a delicious spicy sauce - portions were large and tasted fresh, not of oil like at most takeaways. The saag paneer side order was flavoursome and sweet, which contrasted perfectly with the spiciness of the main dish. The food is usually piping hot and is always delivered on-time. So if you don't want to take a risk, order from this restaurant! Dee, E15
