where do I begin we had bombay aloo, egg and peas fried rice, fish bhuna, cheese naan, chocolate naan, king prawn dhansak, mint sauce, mango chutney, free bottle of coke on orders over £20 My total order was £23.95.
Coke never got that at all we got four mini onion bhaji’s the size of dog nuts. Bombay Aloo looked like potatoes boiled in a very weak curry sauce with an excuse for a bit of tomato never had aloo like that before usually in a thick gravy onions spice and tomato this dish very bland tasteless. The rice only good dish here just could not find any egg as it was egg and peas fried rice. Fish Bhuna I think the fish got away while cooking “rubbish” Let’s look at the cheese naan I thought naan is light and fluffy more like pizza base did not eat it at all put out the window for local fox, next Chocolate naan I thought sounds interesting will try that was not expecting a hard pizza woops sorry naan spread with nuteler that went same place as the cheese naan and you know what? even the fox refused it. Next King prawn dhansak my favourite curry got about six over cooked king prawns swimming around in a thick lentil broth found bay leaves in here since when do you use them never had them in there before “curry leaves” yes for your referents’ Tony bay leaves taste nothing like curry leaves. Go to jump on here a bit the mango chutney, since when has mango chutney been bright red? And the only resemblance to a mango was the smell I think it was mango any way did not touch it. In hole my meal experience with Tony’s Indian Spice was disappointing to say the least will I be back? NO! Oh while here can you tell me why the food was only Luke warm and had to warm it up in the oven when I live twenty minutes from Wallington? “that’s if I walk”. One last thing I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! Perfectly edible, arrived within time, just really didn't taste of much.
I don't mean "this curry didn't burn my head off", I mean "this curry I had was bland although described as mild and the flavours of the king prawns, spices and herbs were completely lost in the dish". With such a wealth of Indian food in the area I think I can afford to miss this place next time. Matthew, CR4
