The food was good, but not great considering the heafty price tag, £60 it's a lot to pay for a takeaway for four people, it was delivered quick enough, but lacked any real presentation, now i know what your thinking its a takeaway in boxes, to true but even when placing on a nice clean white plate, it still lacked any conviction, the curry was quite watery and the side dishes looked a little precooked and then reheated. The rice was nice and sticky just as it should be and the chicken satay was also tasty, the ribs where run of the mill as were the dumplings,the sauce portions are very small just enough for one person really, i dont want to sound negative just honset, in my advice if your looking to spend a fair bit of hard earned cash there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from.

Bit pricier than your average Chinese take away but soooo worth it! The food is superb and always hot and fresh... Love, love, love this place!

The food purchased is still in the fridge! My people tasted it and confirmed it must have been an amateur who cooked it. Bad value, a waste of my money, time and efforts. Very disappointing. I definately wont be placing any more orders with you for your food.

Ordered a few items of food from here and was absolutely amazed by how fresh and hot the food was. I will 100% order from xiong mao again, probably the best chinese I've ever had. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!!

Exceptionally good and set menu for two was enough for three! Has now become our local take-away.

Ordered aromatic duck which majority of the time comes shredded.....I was faced to pick the meat off the bone which consisted of basically the duck as a hole but flat and majority of it was fat!! I am highly disappointed

Order was delivered in the specified timeframe. Food was very nice. I had thai and my wife had chinese, both were top quality. Will definitely be having again in the future.

Quality of the food was great, squid and pork were lovely, but I do not think they have used the correct type of rice for the chinese dishes(the texture and taste),I guess they run out at a time. :)

Delivered well within the time frame specified. Food was good but a little expensive. The egg fried rice was a little greasy but that wasn't an issue.

Excellent Thai green curry, definitely be back for more!

I know about this place as its local. Ordered many of times and any of those times the score would have been two 5's and a fair for value. This time however was disappointing. Food was delivered promptly for a Friday but a specific request on the website to have no sweet pad thai sauce in the king prawn pad thai was translated as no shrimp paste. This made the meal bland. Not impressed. The chicken vermicelli noodles looked and tasted dry with not much flavour. The sweet and sour pork HKS was a triumph however. The worst thing was the dire prawn crackers. These usually are thick and tasty but these were thin and had a strange smell and taste. I ended up throwing them. They are expensive but worth it usually. This time however I felt ripped off and very nearly asked for a refund. It led me to wonder whether or not they had a new chef! I will go back in optimism but unfortunately this meal was poor.

Fantastic food, so tasty. A bit pricy though, but you do get what you pay for. I recommend highly you wont be disappointed xxx
