Having become unenamoured of our usual Indian Takeaway, we have started auditioning other local curry restaurants. Yak and Yeti was our first venture into the unknown, and some of it was very good indeed.
We particularly enjoyed the onion bhaji which seemed freshly made and had a good batter to onion ratio. We also thought the lamb shashlick was very good and the pilau rice was subtly flavoured and not too yellow.
But the chicen chettinadh was disappointing with a strange sauce that managed to overwhelm the plate without adding any interesting flavours. The bombay aloo was not nice at all.
So the search goes on.

Was very disappointed. Food looked and tasted like a ready meal you pop in the microwave. Wasn't authentic at all? Was overpriced for small portions. You get bigger and better for the same price in other Indians

As I have written positive reviews previously for this restaurant. I have to amend that and say I've just recieved the worst takeaway from them. the malai kofta was so dry and overcooked it was inedible. The aloo gobi wasn't good: the cauliflower was undercooked and the sauce tasteless.Sadly the aloo tikka, my favourite ,was greasy and disappointing. what a shame !maybe they've changed chefs sad to say but im changing take aways from now on it was that bad!

Always very tasty, interesting food. It is never swimming in fat like you can sometimes get in other takeaways and the menu has some lovely novel items.
My wife says "I quite like a bit of sauce" so it is very fortuitous that this lovely restaurant provides loads of it! The dry stuff is fab as well.
