Very expensive fare with no frills. Sorry but considering the level of pricing charged, not to receive as much as a complimentary fortune cookie or prawn cracker was a bit mean me thought. i know it's about the taste etc but to be delivered a lightweight white anonymous plastic carrier bag containing the basics sort of took the "lets get a takeaway and see what comes" fun away. i would have hoped that Yum Sing considering that they charged me around the £20 mark for a single person's meal may be making enough profit now to inject some personalised company identity? White plastic bags don't do it for me, sorry.

Food had arrived piping hot, right on time and had been simply scrumptious. Everything had also been freshly prepared using good quality ingredients. The restaurant even rang me promptly to advise that one of the dishes ordered had not been strictly vegetarian as per my special request and had made a special tofu dish just for me as a substitute which was also really nice and despite the order taking place at a late hour. Really important and reassuring to strict vegetarians for such excellent attention to detail. Fantastic value for money. In short, Yum Sing you're simply the best and so much better than the rest!

On a birthday night mid week, it has to be a takeaway, so my heart sank when calling our usual, tried and tested Chinese take away resulted in a dead phone tone. I could have sent my husband out for fish and chips but we decided instead to be brave and try ordering online with 'hungryhouse' for the first time. Now there's no going back! The food from Yum Sing was beautiful: light but filling sweet and sour chicken balls, refreshing palate cleansing ginger sauce in which to dip the juicy pork dumplings and perfect crispy beef - just the right balance between crunch and flavour. And the best bit... there was even enough for two nights so I had another birthday! You can't say fairer than that! Louise, NW10
