The food is usually excellent from this curry house, but on this occasion was fair-to-middling. I suspect that the regular chef was enjoying a night off.

The food arrived surprsingly, and impressively, quickly, on a Friday evening, It was tasty, and to our surprise we were treated to two free Cobras which was generous. Side dishes were large, so, as usual, we had couldn't finish what we had ordered. Our only gripe is that the prawn dish, which was deliciious, had only 2 (admittedly large) prawns in it, which we thought was unsatisfactory.

Food came quickly, was hot and tasted great...could have done with some free poppadoms for the price. The large pieces of chicken in both dishes were deliciously tender. We'll use Indigo again.

This was the second time we had got a takeway from Indigo, having been impressed the first time. Starting with the positives, the Murgahal was excellent, and we were given 2 free bottles of Cobra which was a nice surprise. On the downside, the tarka daal was rather uninteresting - as one of us said, the sort of daal that gives daal a bad name. And the meat in the lamb curry did not appear to resemble lamb - it consisted of large flat slabs of stringy tenderised meat of average quality, and was somewhat grisly and fatty. We guessed it was probably mutton or poor quality beef. In our eyes, in this country, that was a fairly serious minus point. As long as you avoid that, however, you should get a good meal. The reason I have only rated the service as "good" is that the food took about 50 minutes to arrive. On the other hand, it was a Saturday night.

I'm very fussy with food, but Indigo has been my preferred Indian for many years and the quality continues. Dansak for me, and it has good chicken and is spicy enough. My only critism is that the peshwari naan could have more coconut in it (but saying that, I've only started with this naan rather than my usual garlic naan which is lovely from Indigo)
