Late - I appreciate the weather wasn't bad but if delivery was difficulty the order could have been cancelled. The person delivering wanted me to pay 40 pence more, which I refused.

The meat items arrived hot and were fine. Onion baji, chipati etc all arrived cold and popadoms were soft as if they were old. The yoghurt with the yoghurt and cucber dish had curdled and gone lumpy. Not very impressed t all.

Order was delivered *late.* We called 20 minutes after the order was supposed to arrive and were told the delivery should arrive shortly. The should have notified us if the delivery was going to be late.
The food: chicken tikka was okay, had some flavor, though it was very liquidy for some reason and the portion was a bit small. The chicken jalfrezi was *very* spicy (and we like hot!), which large peppers cut in half and added in. The chicken in it was in these bizarre rectangular slabs, which we thought were paneer at first. The paneer dish we ordered was... not to our taste. The naan and rice were fine. Overall the food is pretty standard Indian fare in London, somewhat disappointing but serves its function when you're too lazy to cook at home. It is a bit oily as well. We had ordered kulfi as well but apparently they didn't have it as we were refunded the charge for those when the restaurant accepted our order (though we had to deduce that from the amount of the refund). Lamb tikka, rice, naan and raitha arrived in the final gasp of the promised delivery period and not much above lukewarm. Overlookable were it not for there being only about seven dryish prune-sized ovine lumps swimming in a vast orange sea. Pale flabby bread didn't give the impression of having seen the inside of a tandoor. Pilau and yoghurt dish both fine, as was the Hungryhouse ordering system on what was my first try. Better luck next time?
