Yogurt, HUH! What is it good for... absolutely everything?

This week we thought we would do a homage to a simple food that's found all over our menus here at hungryhouse. It's made in so many different ways, from a condiment to a lush dessert drink, we are talking about that ancient "food of the gods", yoghurt.

The popularity of yoghurt in the UK is undeniable. In fact we eat nearly five times more yoghurt per person than we did 30 years ago.

Do you love or hate yoghurt? Read on for some more interesting yoghurt facts and a recipe to make your own yoghurt at home.

The hungryhouse guide to a sublime springtime

The time has come to remember that old saying, "Spring forward, Fall back." Spring has sprung and Sunday night at 01:00 the clocks will go forward an hour. Spring brings us wonderful foods; fresh vegetables such as broccoli, peas, carrots and new potatoes.

Spring is also a time when the meat eaters of the UK will tilt an ear in the direction of the Welsh mountains, listening for that gentle bleat of a wonderful springtime dish, the Welsh spring lamb.

Read on for some interesting springtime facts and then don't forget to check out our recipe for a lovely vegetable korma, followed by a wonderful recipe for spring lamb shepherds pie.
