I read the reviews, knew it was expensive and the portions small but I was still surprised at what you get for the amount you pay.
That said you can't fault the food. It really is a couple of notches above the competition. I'll be back when my wallet recovers. Jeff, SE16

Food was excellent. Fast Delivery. Portions are small for the price. Would order again but not if I am very, very hungry and need a larger portion. Was happy overall with the quality and delivery but just okay with the quantity.

Food was pretty tasty, but our egg fried rice was missed from the order which was annoying.

Response from hungryhouse:
Hi Esther, Sorry to hear about the missing egg fried rice with your order from River View. I can appreciate it reduced your enjoyment of the meal. On this occasion it seems the egg fried rice was not added when placing the order. Your order accepted email confirms all of the items you have ordered. As a first time customer, hungryhouse would hate to see you disappointed and as a goodwill gesture I have sent you an email offering some vouchers to use toward a replacement meal. Hopefully this will make up for this order not quite being as you had expected. [Customer was also emailed] |

I ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken and Sweet and Sour Beef and to my big surprise both came without the rice! Shouldn't that be mentioned in the menu so I can order it separately?? Or shouldn't whoever prepared that meal use their head and figure out that it was probably a mistake and add the rice or ask me about it? Luckily I dug out last 2 portions of rice and boiled it myself. But that price for just the 'main' stuff without the rice is a bit too expensive.
Got to admit though that the food was excellent. Even the spring rolls were better than anywhere else. But again 4 or 5 small spring rolls for that price? Dunno if I order here again. Food is great but too expensive for a takeaway in my opinion. Michal, SE1
