Online food ordering platform is set to benefit from another injection of funds as parent company Delivery Hero, the largest global provider of online and mobile food ordering technology has today announced Series F equity financing of $85 million.

The investment was led by a 6 billion dollar global investment fund with existing shareholders also participating in the round. Delivery Hero will use the funds to invest in its core markets, with a primary focus on strengthening hungryhouse in the UK and Lieferheld in Germany.

Britain’s Best Takeaway Revealed

Today online food ordering platform, has revealed the ten best takeaway restaurants in Britain, with an unassuming Lebanese restaurant in London’s Maida Vale, The Cedar, taking the top spot.

hungryhouse developed an algorithm to analyse data from over 9,000 restaurant partners and millions of customer reviews to rank Britain’s best takeaways.

The tool analysed restaurant popularity, customers reviews, ratings and return rates and The Cedar came out top, with consistent five-star ratings, top notch reviews and the site’s highest return rate.

Online food ordering platform has launched a new marketing campaign which aims to champion the heroism of its partner restaurants’ delivery drivers.

The video content led ‘Delivery Hero of the Year’ campaign profiles five shortlisted drivers, chosen from over 9,000 partner restaurants, giving them a chance to share their stories and experiences while delivering takeaway food.

The company will primarily use the funds to fuel growth in its existing markets, including the UK, and expanding its position as an innovation leader.
