Impress your customers with the ‘ON ITS WAY’ SMS tool
If you’ve chosen to upgrade to a TabLink then you should already know about the ‘ON ITS WAY’ tool. Once the food is ready to be delivered, simply tap on ‘ON ITS WAY’ on the order and an SMS will be sent straight to the customer to let them know their food is close by!
We know for a fact that customers love this feature and are more likely to order with you again – simply because you kept them updated with the status of their order! Saves you picking up the phone for every customer asking, “where’s my food?”
Different opening times?
Be sure to let us know if you want to update your opening hours or close your restaurant over Christmas time. You can either contact your account manager from Restaurant Operations or call Customer Care on 020 3870 2371.
Improve engagement with your customers through online reviews!
Commenting back on reviews (good and bad) is a great way to show customers you care about the food you’re sending out. Always respond in a positive way though – other customers will also be reading through the reviews. Click here for more on why responding to reviews is so important.
Focus on good delivery times!
Great food and FAST are the 2 biggest things that your customers truly care about. The sweet spot is 45 minutes so this should always be your aim. If you think an order could take longer then it’s a good idea to contact that customer directly just to let them know that it’s on it way but you’re just a little busy. They’ll appreciate the call.
Getting a bit busy?
Please do not decline an order! Customers really hate it and are then unlikely to try you again if their first order was declined by you. Here are two things you can try:
Reduce delivery zones
You can always reduce the number of postcodes you’re serving to limit the number of orders coming in. Do this via the Partner Portal, or by contacting us and speaking to one of our agents.
Go temporarily offline
Easily set your restaurant as temporarily offline if you think the kitchen is getting a bit behind. You can do this through the TabLink, LiveLink or via the Partner Portal!
Here’s how to do it:
Set your status as “closed – entire day” if you want to place your restaurant temporarily offline. Press it again when you’re ready to go back online.
Use the ON/OFF button when you want to offline your restaurant. Important: unplugging your LiveLink does NOT take your restaurant offline and only means automatically declined orders! Not good.
Log in to the new Partner Portal and on the dashboard page you should see the option to take yourself offline or online. Easy peasy.
